In the last few years we have interviewed and profiled more than 22,000 OTR drivers in carriers of all size and descriptions. We've discovered that 70% of them share a common profile. We call them Mainstreamers.

The other 30% of drivers have very unusual profiles. We call them Outliers.

60% of your turnover is coming from the 30% of drivers who are Outliers because your FMs are treating Outliers the way they treat Mainstreamers.

  1. Identify the 30% of drivers who are Outliers.
  2. Teach the FMs and LPs who they are.
  3. Coach the FMs and LPs how to handle Outliers.
  4. Measure driver satisfaction every 90 days.
  5. Adjust our coaching based on driver satisfaction.

We have had tremendous success cutting turnover in half by teaching FMs how to handle Outliers.
